ConSketch - Dragon by Oshouki ConSketch - Dragon by Oshouki
A lady bought a copy of CelticShaman/Agent and asked for a sketch of an angry eastern-style dragon, but she didn't come back to claim it. Done at FanExpo2008.

basically, the lady wanted a dragon and I asked "western or eastern" and she chose eastern, which was lucky for me cause I don't know how to draw western dragons.

I adore the detail~! (as always - your eye for detail, even in these sketches is so good. =) )

thanks. but it's not so much an eye for detail I think... I just have a hard time letting go of a picture when it looks incomplete. I usually think less is "more", but in my case, I seem to end up with the opposite a lot.

Yeah, I know what you mean - I'll attempt a simple light shading image and end up with a file with 60 layers.

That dragon looks great! I been trying to draw a western dragon for my Ap art class and am having a hard time on it's anatomy!

There are a few books I have about dragons that are great - they even have skeletal and anatomy references (not to mention the illustrations are wonderful for references as well) - you might want to check these out:

He's so wiggly and flowy :D His eyes make me think of Igor from Young Frankenstein. I now christen him Igor the mad flowy dragon! I like him. The lady has missed out. Sily lady. I wonder if she was on her way home and went '....DAMN!'

Marty Feldman's Igor ("Eye-gor") is a classic! You just can't beat good ol' Mel Brooks/Gene Wilder goodness!

Igor, he shall be!

I am actually going to mail this to the lady. She was the one who got the book right at the end of day 2 and asked if we could mail it to her if she wasn't able to make it out for day 3.
