Birthday gift to a 8-year old family friend whose totally obsessed with Darth Maul and Star Wars.
Alright I am going to start by stating this I am a total star wars fanatic but I will do my best to not be biased in a good or a bad way. I like the colors they are accurate to the true colors and maul is correct in the way he looks. the shredded clothes are a nice detail and the background is very fitting. Now I will give you what I do not like about it which to be honest is not a whole lot. I think it would have been more appropriate if he had his twin bladed lightsaber like he originally did although the duel wielding like that is awesome as well. All in all I like the way it looks and it was great to be able to see this piece of art.
The Artist thought this was FAIR
10 out of 10 deviants thought this was fair.
Cool pose and illustration of Maul.
One of the best.
Very, very cool!
he looks so cool!
This is an incredible pic!
Oh Maul... my master
he's ready to kill
This is beautiful. The detail is simply astounding. Seriously it's just......WOW!
Totally Epic! He/she must've LOVED this! I know I do! The details are amazing as well as the highlights!
Thank you so much! Thankfully, he did like it, enough for him to come over at the end of his party to ask how I made the picture.
Well, that's great. Getting appreciation is always welcomed, especially when you have made something for someone. You want that person to appreciate it, otherwise, it weren't worth the trouble.
So true. Before I started doing art full time, I had always thought the reward was in the work itself. But there's something about art and artists that crave that external affirmation.
They must've adored this! It's brilliant!
Thanks, they did. I couldn't tell who liked it more, his mom or him. But it was cool that near the end of the party, he came over and asked me how I made the picture. *warmfuzzyfeeling*
Great work he really looks mean
Love the stance, and the clothes ripping on the arms. Also, the atmosphere is perfect. Awesome job!
I love the texture of his gloves and the rips on his sleeves. Awesome work. c:
Thanks very much for your wonderful comment and fav! The details are my most favourite and most hated parts when creating any artwork.
AWESOME, dude! I LOVE this guy!
