I haven't viewed any of your artwork in a long time.
I haven't fav'd or commented on your artwork for even longer.
I haven't properly thanked all your favs and comments in a long time either.

Bad Daniel, bad...
All right... enough self-deprecation. Here's a quick life update:
My poor dog has been sick with hypercalcemia and has crystals/stones in her bladder. Long story short, there's blood in her urine from the crystals irritating her bladder walls, she has to pee frequently and I have to keep her trapped in the kitchen (which she hates) to keep her from peeing in the house. She cries whenever I leave her, which is heart-breaking (for all you pet owners out there, you know what I mean.) So, I'm trapped in the kitchen also. She's now on a special diet to to help dissolve the stones and antibiotics to keep infection at bay. I hope it all works, because the alternative is surgery.
And damn, the vet bills are killer!

It's been...like forever
I've been away from dA for a really long time, it seems. When the heck did the dA logo change? Anyway, I'm back on the urging of friends to post my art here more often. To be honest, I've been too lazy. I wish there was a share to dA button from my Instagram (which is instagram.com/oshouki -- too obvious?) Instagram makes it so much easier to post artwork. However, I will do my best to give my dA some love.
Ottawa Comic Con 2012-May-12,13
It's already been a busy comic con season so far this year if you count FreeComicBookDay and other sketch events I've been doing. Coming up this weekend, I'll be headed to Ottawa for a new convention by the same guys that organize the Montreal show. If you're in the Ottawa area, come check it out. Find me in artist alley at the Spent Pencils table (#716)
Convention website -> here
Floor plan -> here
You can read more about on my Spent Pencils website here: http://spentpencils.com/2012/05/ottawa-comic-con-2012/
Bye for now!
Don't forget it's Free Comic Book Day tomorrow!
May 5, 2012. Find a participating comic book store and get yourself some free comics! Plus, many stores will have artists on hand doing sketches, and many for free.
I'll be at 2 different stores in Mississauga. Click here to find out where I'll be sketching.
Update and Fan Expo 2011
Holy crap, it's fan expo time again. Where the heck has the year gone?
Sorry to everyone that I haven't been very active on dA this year. I had a sudden increase in freelance work that's eaten up all my time. Plus a lot of the work I have done can't be posted here. As for the stuff I can post, you can chalk it up to exhaustion and laziness for the fact that I haven't uploaded.
So here's a quick short-listed run down of what I've been up to:
I did a project for Elections Canada/Elections Ontario -- I illustrated an educational package targeted to grade 5 and 10 curriculum. It's called "Voting Rules!" It was an exciting and fairly size

You know, they actually have insurance now for pets? At least that's what's happening in the U.S. now, because pet bills are so expensive. I honestly don't understand how an animals bills can be more expensive they our own medical bills. I guess people are more willing to pay money for their pet's than for themselves. I don't know. Vets definitely charge and arm and a leg.
It sounds like something I've gone through with my last dog and cats. It's hard when an animal gets old and their body begins to breakdown. It's really strange to think that humans can live so much longer than other animals, so we watch a lot of our pets pass away. Being a pet owner is a lot like being a parent. It's tough to watch your kids go through these things.
