Holy crap, it's fan expo time again.  Where the heck has the year gone?

Sorry to everyone that I haven't been very active on dA this year.  I had a sudden increase in freelance work that's eaten up all my time.  Plus a lot of the work I have done can't be posted here.  As for the stuff I can post, you can chalk it up to exhaustion and laziness for the fact that I haven't uploaded.

So here's a quick short-listed run down of what I've been up to:

I did a project for Elections Canada/Elections Ontario -- I illustrated an educational package targeted to grade 5 and 10 curriculum.  It's called "Voting Rules!"  It was an exciting and fairly sizeable project...the "Democracy in Canada" poster alone took over a month to complete (long story, don't ask...)  At present, it seems Elections.ca is still retooling their website for this resource, so I'll update with a link later on.

I was also taking classes with Eisner Award winner Ty Templeton over at the Toronto Cartoonist's Workshop, which really rounded out and bumped up my comic drawing skills.  The "Comic Book Boot Camp" classes were simply awesome and highly recommended!  It still boggles my mind how much information he packed into those classes.  Anyway, stemming from that, I participated in the school's publication and drew a 7-page story in the anthology "Holmes Inc."  Proudly, I was chosen to lead off the book.  I'll upload some pages leading up to fan expo.

And speaking of Fan Expo, it's friggin' 4 days this year.  I'll be in Artist Alley at table A140 (close to the Ubisoft booth) with the Spent Pencils crew.  I'm busy redeveloping the spentpencils.com website at the moment, so it looks like I won't have enough time to make a new print this year.

Hope to see you a the show.  And I'll try to update more often. See ya!

It was awesome meeting you and the gang, Daniel.
Can't wait to see you guys and your awesome portfolios again next year - perhaps we can hang out afterwards to regain sanity? : )
